Was that what I said? No. In fact, I specifically said to challenge and criticize her ideas. I talked about how dismissiveness of her as a political figure I've seen from conservative pundits is hilarious, not to mention ironic coming from the truly moronic set of Tomi Lahren (sp?), the ex-sheriff from Milwaukee who cuffed women detainees giving birth whose job it is now to polish Trump's orange knob on Fox News, Tucker Carlson, and Hannity. For them to call anybody dumb or vacuous? Yeah.

    Case in point.

If Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were a conservative

If she were a conservative, Mr. Thiessen would be all over her with praise and adulation, just as he is with the Dump.

Let me "fix" some of his words:

It is a tremendous testament to America that someone who was working as a real-estate developer in New York three years ago can throw their hat into the ring, unseat a wide field of experienced Republican elected officials and get elected as the President of the United States. It’s what makes this such an exceptional nation. And it is obvious that he has political talent. But that doesn’t excuse him from the responsibilities as the president to learn the facts and serve his constituents.

    Move over Nancy Pelosi....

Michael Moore says Dems need to accept far-left Ocasio-Cortez as party leader: 'No middle ground anymore'

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore declared U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the new leader of the Democratic Party, while urging political moderates to take a position because there ďis no middle ground anymore.Ē

ďShe is the leader. Everybody knows it. Everybody feels it,Ē Moore said of the freshman congresswoman from New York during a Friday interview on MSNBC.

Moore said the age requirement to run for president - 35 - should be constitutionally amended so that Ocasio-Cortez could make a play for the White House.

I don't see any problem with getting a quick constitutional amendment done (the process typically goes very quickly). It should be easy to get 38 states to amend the Constitution so that a 29-year-old socialist can become President.

    LOL...

AOC's Green New Deal Proposal Is One Of The Stupidest Documents Ever Written

On Thursday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) released a six-page proposal for her much-ballyhooed Green New Deal. Before so much as reading it, presumably, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), who happens to be a 2020 presidential frontrunner, endorsed it:

Kamala Harris is so bad. Awfully bad. Iíd vote for trump over her.

And why do liberals love trains so much. I donít get it. Why replace airplanes with trains? Itís like they want to go back to the 1800s.

Yeah, the Wright Brothers must have really done a number on them at some point.

I think this is all early sillyness on the part of the Dems. They'll get their act together, otherwise we'll be looking at Dump II.

Not a shocker. But no, she's not worse than Trump, the same who has tabloids blackmail his enemies and pays his his pornstar ex-mistresses hush money or in bed with a foreign adversary.

AOC loves trains because the furthest she travels is from Brooklyn to DC. If she were traveling across the entire country, she might look at things a little differently.

As bad as Trump and his ideas are - I can't imagine what would happen to the country if she were able to implement all of hers. Rebuild all of the buildings in the US in the next 10 years? Do away with air travel and presumably build new high speed rail lines everywhere there is currently an airport? Free college education for everyone? Free health care for everyone? Millions of new union jobs? Completely off of fossil fuels and using 100% renewable energy within 10 years? Building out public transportation and electric cars to replace all of the current combustion engines that are going away?

And the "how are going going to do this, how are we going to pay for it?" question is answered with "Hey! We've done hard things before. We build all of the interstate highways, sent a man to the moon, and build 300K airplanes during WWII."

Of course, finally the answer is that it will all be paid for by the federal reserve extending credit. And simply that "sure, it's going to be expensive. But it's an investment in our future."

I'm all for being better stewards of the earth we live on. And I tend to be a relatively optimistic guy. But I don't see us doing away with all of the combustion engines currently under operation and replacing all of the energy plants in the US with renewable energy sources in the next 10 years. That's crazy talk.

There’s no justification for voting for Trump. She is better than him. Schultz is better than him, Warren is better than him, Biden is better than him, Sanders is better than him, Booker is better than him, Gary Johnson is better than him.

    Actually, I agree.

But in the green new deal, she says not only no new nuclear plants - she's hoping to close the ones currently in operation and replace their production.

So, as I understand it, we're going to run the electricity of the entire nation with wind, solar, geothermal, and hydroelectric. And we're going to do that while also eliminating all combustion engines - so we'll need to not only power homes, businesses, etc, we'll also need to produce enough to recharge all of the electric vehicles and trains.

But maybe that's what you were referring to - the fact that it isn't just renewable energy, it's the "right kind" of renewable energy that she's going to allow.

    New jobs bad...

Ocasio-Cortez cheers as Amazon reportedly reconsiders NY HQ after fierce opposition

Amazon is reconsidering opening part of its second headquarters in New York after fierce opposition from lawmakers, according to a new report. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seemed elated by the news story.

The Washington Post, which is also owned by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, reported the Seattle-based tech giant is reconsidering the plan and has not leased or purchased any office space for the project. The report cited two people familiar with the company's thinking.

ďThe question is whether itís worth it if the politicians in New York donít want the project, especially with how people in Virginia and Nashville have been so welcoming,Ē one person familiar with the companyís plans told the Post.

Ocasio-Cortez, who has been extraordinarily negative towards Amazon, which has promised 25,000 jobs and over $27.5 billion in tax revenue in 25 years, tweeted that "everyday people" can "effectively organize against creeping overreach of one of the worldís biggest corporations."
