An end of a tradition. Will they introduce podium guys?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Sad to see the French eliminate jobs like this.

George Hincapie might still be single if it weren't for the podium girls tradition.

Tour de France organizers have formally blocked four-time champion Chris Froome from competing in this year’s race, Le Monde reported Sunday, but he is expected to fight the move.
Maybe they should let him race but not use an inhaler

LOL. At least they gave plenty of notice.

Looks like the case has been dropped

Letting Froome race this year is a bad idea for both the tour and himself. I personally feel Froome is putting himself in danger by racing, with miles and miles of open roads it wouldn't be hard for some crazy fan to vent his feelings by hurting Froome or some other rider.

The [Times] article detailed that with a statistic model, they could show the chances of a false positive by someone regularly using an asthma drug. In Froome’s case, tested almost daily due to stage wins and time in the red leader’s jersey, data was not lacking. The UCI governing body’s experts tested the model as well, and as The Times wrote, “there was an alarmingly high chance of a false positive.” The UCI had to drop the case.

Here is a guide purportedly prepared by Mark Cavendish. Sort of interesting.

Ha, he pretty much picks a Brit to win every stage.

This tour will be interesting. Movistar is loaded with talent but that may not mean anything. There are other good riders but Froome has to be the favorite again even with this being his fourth grand tour in a row.

Luis Leon Sanchez out on what was pretty much a solo crash. Adam Yates hits the deck again, needing a bike change. And chavanrl doing his almost patented lone French solo ride that is doomed to be swallowed by the peloton at the end. Good stage so far.
