The one network show my wife and myself watch together is "This is Us". After she can go back to her shows and i can find a game to watch but it's a show that we both enjoy.

I'm surprised you watch that. I figured you would be grossed out by the fat people.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

My wife watches this show, I watched the first couple episodes. As far as a I can tell every single plot line involving the hefty woman centers around her weight -- trying to lose weight, when she was big as a girl and the challenges that posed with her normal sized mom, falling back on bad eating habits, etc. No normal plots for the poor fat chick.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

to be fair, she doesn’t get any normal breaths, steps, or sleep either

My wife also watches that show. I saw one episode and was bored. I like dramas but that thing is like drama on steroids.

I came home last night to MJ watching a unabomber show. It looked interesting but she’s already a ways into it I think so I didn’t get it all. Seems interesting though.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Exactly. I saw a couple of episodes. It has an interesting story. But the drama is pretty thick and exhausting.

We watch this one together too, though we’re only on episode 2 of this season. I don’t care if everyone here thinks it’s overwrought, I enjoy it and thought it was one of last year’s stronger shows; evidence that network tv doesn’t have to suck. All that being said, I am confident that the network will find a way to screw it up eventually.

Probably by stretching it out for 7 seasons with 22 episodes per season.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I thought the first episode of the show was really well done. I watched the first 3-5 episodes with my wife. Then she watched one without me and I didn't bother with catching up and/or watching it anymore.

We watch it together as well, sometimes waiting a few weeks and then catching up. It occasionally strays into cheap sentiment territory, but the performances are great and the dialogue often rings true. We're now caught up again. This week's group therapy session involving the three kids and the mother was brutally intense, but very well done.
