There are a couple of times in that account that cross the 'creepy' threshold and approach assault. But out of all of the recent assault allegations, this one seems the least disturbing to me.

And yeah, he seems laughably embarrassing. I guess the allure of a B-list comedy actor isn't that much of an aphrodisiac.

    • Katie Way, the genius who wrote the Aziz Ansari story and somehow made all of us glad, for once, that we weren't in our 20s again, didn't like what Ashleigh Banfield had to say about her story. Banfield probably ended her career at the ripe old age of 22.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

      • While reading the Ansari piece, I couldn't help but notice that the writer skipped some critical sequences in the Ansari - "Grace" interaction. There's no mention of the girl taking off her clothes, it was more like "after asking him if we weren't moving too fast, he stuck his finger in my mouth which was quite provocative given that I was already naked in front of him."

It reminded me of this Norm MacDonald exchange regarding gym locker rooms and Brokeback Mountain:

Katie Way is perfect for the role of Laura Potsdam in The Nix! Sounds like she may be looking for a new career soon. Why not try acting?

                • Mark Cuban and the Mavs.... heal thyself!

Exclusive: Inside the Corrosive Workplace Culture of the Dallas Mavericks

“It was a real life Animal House,” says one former organization employee who left recently after spending roughly five years with the Mavs. “And I only say ‘was’ because I’m not there anymore. I’m sure it’s still going on.”

Ussery, who left the Mavericks in 2015, was hardly alone. Interviews with more than a dozen former and current Mavericks employees in different departments, conducted during a months-long SPORTS ILLUSTRATED investigation, paint a picture of a corporate culture rife with misogyny and predatory sexual behavior: alleged public fondling by the team president; outright domestic assault by a high-profile member of the Mavs.com staff; unsupportive or even intimidating responses from superiors who heard complaints of inappropriate behavior from their employees; even an employee who openly watched pornography at his desk. Most sources did not want their names used for a variety of reasons including fear of retaliation and ostracization and limits imposed by agreements they signed with the team.

While sources referred to the Mavericks office as a “locker room culture,” the team’s actual locker room was a refuge. Says one female former senior staffer: “I dealt with players all the time. I had hundreds of interactions with players and never once had an issue…they always knew how to treat people. Then I'd go to the office and it was this zoo, this complete shitshow. My anxiety would go down dealing with players; it would go up when I got to my desk.”
I wonder if Cuban is still thinking about running for president.

                    • check out his load of BS from Cuban. lol.

                      http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...ormer-employee

So when the second time came around ... the way I looked at it was — and, again, in hindsight it was a mistake — but I didn't want to just fire him, because then he would go out there and get hired again and do it somewhere else," Cuban told ESPN. "That's what I was truly afraid of and that was the discussion we had internally. It was a choice between just firing him and making sure that we had control of him.

                          • Bill Cosby found guilty of aggravated sexual assault today. But, he doesn't have a plane.

A jury found Bill Cosby guilty Thursday of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home near here 14 years ago, capping the downfall of one of the world’s best-known entertainers, and offering a measure of satisfaction to the dozens of women who for years have accused him of similar assaults against them.

On the second day of its deliberations at the Montgomery County Courthouse in this town northwest of Philadelphia, the jury returned to convict Mr. Cosby of three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand, at the time a Temple University employee he had mentored.

The three counts — penetration with lack of consent, penetration while unconscious and penetration after administering an intoxicant — are felonies, each punishable by up to 10 years in state prison, though the sentences could be served concurrently.

The Montgomery County district attorney, Kevin R. Steele, asked that Mr. Cosby’s $1 million bail be revoked, suggesting he had been convicted of a serious crime, owned a plane and could flee, prompting an angry outburst from Mr. Cosby, who shouted, “He doesn’t have a plane, you asshole.”
