Honestly - from a purely entertainment standpoint - the best thing that could happen this next election would be for Biden to win, the GOP win the house, and then we get to have 4 more years of impeachment inquiries - only directed at the Dem President this time. Ha!

These two parties deserve each other.

In a sense, they do. I am disgusted with the repubs and their approach to this, especially those that are now using Russian talking points on Ukrainian interference in the election. Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes are the worst kind of people. I have no doubt that if this were Obama, they would all be screaming bloody murder. Sadly, at the same time, the dems would be defending Obama, calling it a partisan process, and deflecting to other things.

But through it all, Mitt would stand on principle. We have an anchor. Mitt Happens!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Come on. A wet fart is better than Trump, and you're lamenting that we are stuck with Biden?

Biden is horrible. He is better than Trump. But that doesn't mean he isn't horrible.

Why anyone in their right mind would want either one of them in the White House is beyond me.

Comeone, Biden is far better than Trump. Trump is in his own zipcode of awful. They aren't equivalent.

They are honorable people in both parties, but currently republican politicians have to make a choice between ethics and covering for Trump. People like Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes are plain bad actors, separate their goosestepping for Donald. Jordan enabled sexual assault of college athletes.

It’s not about the comparison. Neither one meets my threshold for being fit for office, regardless of who is better than the other.

your statement was a comparison by default. you lumped them together. the differences aren't trivial.

The Dem impeachment report is out!

Goodwin: Dem impeachment report is Adam Schiff’s latest dud

Say this for Rep. Adam Schiff: His imagination is vivid and he has a flair for the dramatic. If only he had more respect for facts and a tighter tether to reality.

The California attack dog is, in real life, a frustrated writer of rejected screenplays, and he’s produced another dud in the Democrats’ impeachment report. Released Tuesday, it offers nothing new of significance, but that didn’t stop Schiff from hyping the contents as something akin to the second coming of Richard Nixon.

While the vast majority of Americans found something else to do than watch the mind-numbing hours of public testimony, Schiff depicts the hearings he orchestrated as pivotal events in modern history. While Trump is in Europe dealing with crucial national security issues and is a growing favorite to win re-election, Schiff insists he’s doing “potentially irrevocable” damage to the system of checks and balances and is a threat to the Constitution.

Biden, one of the longest tenured senators in the U.S., isn't fit for office? Gee, that's a new one.

Well, that's part of the problem. Age is an issue for both of these guys.

Age is like issue #37 for Trump. One that's so far down the list I don't think it even bears bringing up during the campaign.

Of course age is a huge issue and an issue for many voters. Not for the elderly, though, who vote in droves.

LOL... yeah, Biden has been getting into arguments with Iowa voters, calling them fat and damn liars, and challenging them to pushups:

What the hell Dems?.. First they dropped "Quid Pro Quo" and now they dropped "Bribery"! These impeachment articles are totally weak sauce:

Democrats Abandon Poll-Tested ‘Bribery’ In Articles Of Impeachment Against Trump

After repeatedly using the term “bribery” to sell the inquiry against President Donald Trump, House Democrats appear to have abandoned it in the articles of impeachment filed Tuesday.

Not even 24 hours after the last public hearing on the impeachment inquiry, the House Judiciary Committee announced two articles of impeachment: one accusing the president of “abuse of power” and the other charging him with “obstruction of Congress.”

So the Dems in congress now want to impeach Drumpf because he hurt their feelings... What a bunch of snowflakes. If you are going to do it, Dems, then do it right. They need add quid pro quo, bribery, and stampeding cattle (through The Vatican) to articles and stop being wimps.

    How about Salon?

William Barr claims that Barack Obama posed the “greatest danger" to democracy in 2016 — not Russia

Attorney General William Barr claimed in an NBC News interview that former President Barack Obama posed the “greatest danger” to democracy in the 2016 election — not Russia.

Barr told the network that he disagreed with his own department’s inspector general report, which concluded that the FBI did not “spy” on the Trump campaign and was justified in launching an investigation into its ties to Russia.

Nonetheless, the attorney general claimed that the Obama administration posed the biggest threat to democracy because of alleged spying, which was debunked Monday by the release of the report.

“I think, probably, from a civil liberties standpoint, the greatest danger to our free system is that the incumbent government used the apparatus of the state — principally, the law enforcement agencies and the intelligence agencies — both to spy on political opponents. But as to use them in a way that could affect the outcome of the election,” Barr alleged. “As far as I’m aware, this is the first time in history that this has been done to a presidential campaign.”

Barr is a hack. Anything he says has Trump stink all over it. Not worth the attention.

Do you think it's OK that the FBI spied on the Trump campaign as ordered by the Obama admin? Those are facts.

You've provided countless reminders of the considerable moral shortcomings of the son of a presidential candidate. One can only imagine what you would do if we ever had a sitting president who, say, cheated repeatedly on three different wives, was accused by dozens of women of sexual assault, incongruously denies all of the accusations yet brags about committing sexual assault, who has derided multiple military heroes while pardoning war criminals, and having successfully dodged the draft, claims his personal Vietnam was avoiding venereal disease despite his many sexual conquests. With such a target-rich environment in which to work, I'm sure you'll do better than simply stick with the one-note play on his family name.

I certainly think it was okay for the FBI to look into Russian influence in the election. The Trump campaign was open to and sought information from Russian sources that it thought would advantage it in the election. Yes, that should be investigated. Those are the facts.

    Great list PAC. Add this:

Trump pays $2 million in damages ordered by judge over misuse of charity funds, according to NY attorney general

President Trump has paid $2 million in court-ordered damages for misusing funds in a tax-exempt charity he controlled, the New York attorney general said Tuesday.

The payment was ordered last month by a New York state judge in an extraordinary rebuke to a sitting president. Trump had been sued in 2018 by the New York attorney general, who alleged the president had illegally used funds from the Donald J. Trump Foundation to buy portraits of himself, pay off his businesses’ legal obligations and help his 2016 campaign.

It seems that what most people hate about Trump is his indecorousness. There is enough about his governance and policies that either democrats or republicans ought to support enough to find him tolerable. For example, he has taken the wind out of Sanders' sails on trade and globalism, his protectionism being something democrats at least promised or threatened during elections, while making war with health insurers and pharmaceutical companies. His conflicts with China and support for Hong Kong should please both parties though perhaps for different reasons. He detests war, no matter how ignoble to avoid it, which ought to find support across the political spectrum. The left really doesn't support immigration as it drives down labor's wages and takes their jobs--that is they myth in any event and why the democrats are as to blame as republicans for failing to fix any immigration problems. The Koch brothers split with him on immigration and trade. His plain spoken condemnation of socialism is welcome to hear in response to the mendacity and false piety of Sanders and Warren. But he's boorish and a pig. How much should that matter? I'm just playing devil's advocate.
