Any player that didn't make the cut got $2,500. I am willing to play next year, I can miss the cut.

And just like that, Tiger's streak of dominance when leading appears to be over.

(I'm typing this before everybody actually putted out, so I know that nutty things may happen).
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

He beat him! Pretty clutch to come from behind to beat Tiger on the last day, and this dude was even paired with him. Not too shabby!

          Yang was awesome today.

He not only doesn't fold by being paired with Tiger, but he starts the day out down by 2 strokes and wins by 3.

He kicked Tiger's ass. Plain and simple.

Tiger's conservative play bit him in the ass. He said yesterday he was lagging putts. I think that hurt him today when his lines were just off and wasn't able to sink anything. I think Tiger figured if he could just post a 72 he'd win and Yang would fold. I am happy for Yang. I am also curious to see how this affects Tiger. Maybe he won't lay off the gas and we'll see '97 Masters Tiger again where winning by one isn't enough.

This should be a wake up call for Tiger. Until today, he had never lost a major when leading after 54 holes. If Tiger wants to be dominant again, he can't let off during any of the rounds. The rest of the guys on the Tour are good and aren't going to hold back.

I too, am happy for Yang. He played great this weekend and the fact that he's 37 and only got his card last year is a terrific story.

No kidding. Gets his tour card. Wins on the PGA tour. Then wins a major. He'll have his card for a little while longer.

Yep. I think the winner of a major gets a 10 year exemption for the Tour. He'll be fine for the next while.

Tiger seemed to have something on his mind. I saw the early coverage on TNT before he teed off, when he was still warming up on the ranges, and the announcers said he didn't seem like himself this morning; his body language after each stroke showed a lot of scowling and such.

We've all had bad days with a lot on our minds; unfortunately his came at the end of a major. I just hope all is well on the homefront.

Hard to feel too sorry for the guy when he still pockets $810,000. Not bad for 4 days of work.

Yang's final approach, with a hybrid 3 over a tree and right at the stick was gutsy and superbly done. I thought he was a little crazy to go right at it, but that's the stuff of champions.

Yep. It was a lot like Corey Pavin in '92 or '93 in the same tournament when he hit an unbelievable 3 wood approach shot on 18 to give him a chance to win, which he did.

I enjoyed watching Yang today. The guy was having fun, which is supposed to be the point of golf.

My dad and I were talking about Yang and his crisp ball striking. He wasn't doing too much with the ball and just hitting it to his spots. Tiger on the other hand is cutting this, low fade that. My dad wondered aloud if Tiger could even hit a straight ball anymore. At that level, having all of those shots in your repertoire is a must, but I think he and others over think so many shots.

Something I enjoyed about Tom Watson was when asked about how he always seems to play well in tough conditions, he said that he hits his shots and trusts that the dimples in that ball won't allow it to be affected that much. I wonder if players did more of that instead of trying to utilize the wind, or take the wind out of a shot by hitting a stinger or something wouldn't help them more.

But what do I know. I shoot in the 90's.

Well, just like Ty Webb told Danny Noonan, just "be the ball".

I shoot better scores when I just concentrate on striking the ball. I know how to hit a draw and a fade and the such, but I'm not good enough to use them in a round.

IPU i hate to do this but it was the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock and he hit a 4 wood. Pavin missed the putt but it ended up that he didn't need it. That approach by Yang today was pure.
