Illinois State's issue wasn't entirely BYU's awesome defense in the 1st half. They were missing some open shots. Reminded me a little of BYU versus UT-Arlington - where one team can't miss and the other can't hit the side of the barn to start the game. In the second half, ILL St began hitting some open shots and was more aggressive on defense - and fought their way back into it.

I would really like to see Dastrup earn a consistent role in the rotation but it appears that his playing time will be driven by matchup needs. With McKay Cannon "The Pride of the Shelley Russets" (MCTPOTSR) looking like he might legitimately be more than a glorified Craig Cusick BYU is actually getting some legitimate depth. TJ looked better yesterday so lets hope he is starting to find himself, now the only one wandering alone is Seljaas. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Good defenses, which we are new to, have lapses during games. Two Top 5 teams went down last night. It happens.
