The celebs of my youth are really starting to disappear

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Tom Petty was found unconscious. They brought him to the hospital and there's no brain activity, so the life support has been pulled.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Hard to believe that it wasn't heroin that did him in.

    I'll miss him.

Just watched the Sound City documentary in which he figured relatively prominently.

Heroin overdose could still conceivably cause cardiac arrest. But at 66, he could have had other things going on.

Time to once again marvel at that miracle known as Keith Richards. His longevity in the face of 50+ year heroin and coke habit suggests incredible DNA. On top of that, he has possibly the hottest rock n roll wife of all time and somehow has remained married for 34 years. His wikipedia article suggests he also "yearns" to be a librarian.

Not so fast, apparently. He's still on life support, according to Twitter.

So now would not be the time to hope for an "unplugged" album?

It's probably the first time that Petty, Hales, and Las Vegas has been connected in one post.
