Biden is reasonable and if he runs has a better chance than most might think. if there are 10 far-lefties in the field and one more centrist, the lefties will all cancel themselves out. It's the reverse of what happened with the GOP last time with 15 or so neocons and one Donald Trump. Trump was able to secure the nomination despite over half the primary voters preferring someone else.

Gotta say, if people claim to be impartial but still consider voting for Trump after the last two years, their impartiality is pretty suspect.

I would vote for a raging liberal who wants medicare for all and promises higher taxes, before I would vote for Trump. But that's me.

Write in Mitt. Don't vote. But voting for Trump in 2020?!?!

Howard Schultz: America’s New Banality Supervillain

[Schultz] is running for the same dumb reason that’s inspired various Wall Street leaders to whisper concerns about 2020 to reporters of late: they fear and despise wealth-tax-proposing liberals like Bernie Sanders or even Elizabeth Warren more than they disapprove of the Trump presidency, and are too stupid to keep that evil thought to themselves.

I didn't vote for Trump. I won't vote for Trump. But I prefer Trump over a raging liberal. The Trump administration is a circus. He is an idiot. But at the end of the day, most of the damage he does is relatively superficial. I trust our system of checks and balances to keep him from doing anything too outrageous. I think the Russia stuff is a nothingburger. He has done quite a few good things, too. I like the tax cuts and the supreme court nominees.

A raging liberal with a sympathetic congress would be far more dangerous. Entitlements only go one direction. Judiciary picks are important.

            Question:

Is it a nothingburger because you believe nothing happened, or because you don't think it matters if it did?

Because I think the numerous lies from him and those around him about his and his campaign's actions around Russia are not in dispute at this point.

Completely disagree, 100%. He has destroyed any semblance of a serious conservative national party. He has corrupted everything he has touched. There is nothing superficial in the damage he has caused in 2 (!!!) years.

Some things are more important than not having a boorish president. Like not having a president who made a compaign promise to nationalize one-quarter of the country’s economy, while instantly creating a health care shortage and imperative to ration health care, smothering health care innovation, plunging the government further into insolvency, and raising the tax rate for everyone to over 50%.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

You’re so right. He’s also ruined the Democratic Party!

Nothing happened to merit the this ado. The Mueler report will speak for itself and it will be anticlimactic. Mark this for a SWISH! It’s all politics.

What do you call what Kamala Harris said yesterday—all insurance should be federal, all heath care providers should work for the government’s pay. By the way, it doesn’t work unless you for all intents and purposes destroy the private health care sector.

                        • Anyone here who lives in Utah, especially outside of Salt Lake, should be precluded from posting apologetics for the likes of Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders. It’s very easy to do that if you live in Utah, if you’re kind of clueless about the insularity, hatred and contempt that’s held by these people for the business community and landlocked states like Utah. Fortunatley, contrary to their belief, not everyone with a moral compass believes the things that they do.

What do you think the tax rate is for everyone in Canada and Denmark? How do you think all of this free stuff (you don’t even need to fill out forms or prove it’s medically necessary) gets paid for? That’s what taxes are like in those countries always held up as examples of successful socialism.

This is what Sanders, Harris and Warren want. Biden too, as he’s now sprinting to the left.
