  • Former trash talking conservative who helped elect Trump now calls him a con man and apologizes for some of his own over the line statements in the past, as well as calling for someone to challenge Trump in a primary.

"It's got to be the moral case. This has got to be a mission. This guy is unfit to be President," Walsh said.
He argued that what Republicans need is "somebody to stick their neck out and say, 'Enough. Enough, President Trump. We're tired of the lies. We're tired of the bullying. We're tired of the cruelty. Enough.' Somebody has to break that impasse."
In his op-ed, Walsh accuses Trump of being a "racial arsonist who encourages bigotry and xenophobia to rouse his base and advance his electoral prospects."

    • Part of me feels sorry for Beto. He got fawning national press during his senate run because he was running again one of the left's villains. It seems like he wasnt smart enough to recognize the support was about his opponent not him and he actually believed all the nice things written about him. Now he seems mostly confused that the press has moved on to their preferred D candidates.

Not ready for the job he's running for now. It's less of a stretch as a member of the House to unseat a senator in your home state who already has a lot of baggage.

But he uses the f-word in campaign speeches... did the media suddenly forget that?!
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

He is such a lightweight. Good riddance.

Moderate candidate that I would like to have seen be more successful.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

Wait, does Cruz really have baggage (other than liking a porn video on facebook or twitter and blaming it on a hacker or some nonsense) or is he just extremely unlikable? You act like he was the privileged son of a local judge who got off with a slap on the wrist after a hit and run accident committed while intoxicated.

                I can't stand Robert/Rob/Bob/Bobby/Robby O'Rourke. He's the Beatnik guitar-playing asshole in Animal House.

Apparently he was good enough to fool the daughter of a near-billionaire land developer.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He should have stuck to Texas. Beto seems like a nice guy, but he’s looked lost.

I really like Hickenlooper. I’ve known a few people who worked with him and they say he is a genuine pragmatist. We need more of that from either side of the spectrum

I think Cruz is incredibly unlikeable and Beto is likeable but I’m biased as is everyone on here.
For perspective are there any democrats you find likeable?

Agreed. A real dope to believe that any of the adoration he received had any legs. Cruz is a vampire. He couldn't even beat a vampire.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                        Sure, Tulsi, Biden and Yang.

Robert is a gold-digging douchebag. His response to why he is such a stingy bastard with his charitable donations was hilarious -- Robert in his own mind is God's gift to the world.

                        • Trump isn’t running again. He doesn’t care about being liked, about politics. He isn’t going to endure losing to a Elizabeth Warren. He’ll bail and leave his party in a lurch just like Johnson did in 68. This makes him extremely dangerous right now as president.

                            This could happen.

He likes power way too much. He’s too egotistical to conceive that losing would be a possibility.

                              • This is an almost perfect analogy.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
