Former trash talking conservative who helped elect Trump now calls him a con man and apologizes for some of his own over the line statements in the past, as well as calling for someone to challenge Trump in a primary.

"It's got to be the moral case. This has got to be a mission. This guy is unfit to be President," Walsh said.
He argued that what Republicans need is "somebody to stick their neck out and say, 'Enough. Enough, President Trump. We're tired of the lies. We're tired of the bullying. We're tired of the cruelty. Enough.' Somebody has to break that impasse."
In his op-ed, Walsh accuses Trump of being a "racial arsonist who encourages bigotry and xenophobia to rouse his base and advance his electoral prospects."

Part of me feels sorry for Beto. He got fawning national press during his senate run because he was running again one of the left's villains. It seems like he wasnt smart enough to recognize the support was about his opponent not him and he actually believed all the nice things written about him. Now he seems mostly confused that the press has moved on to their preferred D candidates.

Not ready for the job he's running for now. It's less of a stretch as a member of the House to unseat a senator in your home state who already has a lot of baggage.

I really like Hickenlooper. I’ve known a few people who worked with him and they say he is a genuine pragmatist. We need more of that from either side of the spectrum
