I think you're going to like this place a lot better than before!
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm both hoping and not hoping that he's referring to me.

        Welcome

        Love your avatar

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I think you're referring to TripletDaddy. Unfortunately, he's still here.

Is this my question? That's -- well, my expectations were built up a little higher than that.

Anyway -- the place does seem less win-by-shouting oriented. Gauging by how many usernames look familiar from the old days (mostly the three months I was on CG probably), it could just be that everyone's older than they used to be. In a good way maybe.

Outlier has been back two days, but so far I am unable to detect a rise in the quality of discourse around here.

Come on, man! Get to work.

The basis point referenced was from six years ago as opposed to two days ago, so I'm not sure this is a valid complaint. Further, it's possible that our perceptions differed and continue to differ. Now what?

I'm already single. What more can it do at this point?

The arguments cycle and re-cycle with very little new discourse. Some enjoyable people to be around are here, but the level of discourse is unremarkable.

You could become a gay parent; that would shake things up a bit, if you are of an inquiring mind.

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

If this guy were still around, I might ask him a question.

                          Eh, "around".

I get the lack of new threads now. In case anyone wanted validation.
