Parking really is only an issue when a bunch of family is visiting. The thing I really wish our HOA would enforce is making people pick up their dog's shit in the common grass areas. It's a big problem and makes those areas unusable.

Our HOA has an 80+ page of dos and don'ts. Many of the don'ts are reasonable for our area. It is on the outskirts of town with lots of trees, so many pages are devoted to keeping that 'outdoorsy' look. No fences, no permanent high-situated lights, need permission to cut down taller trees on your yard, etc. There is a policy of no parking on the side of the road, which does not seem to be enforced. But one day we came back after a weekend of camping to find our street was blocked off for a cycling tournament. We slowly made our way to the house, where my son's friend had parked his truck on the side of the road. Someone had placed orange pylons around the truck for the entire race, narrowing the way for the cyclists. Everyone knew who broke the HOA rules!"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
