Ha, I had never seen that term before, but it has only been 3 weeks and my memory isn't that bad yet. Interestingly enough, to me at least, at St Paul's it was also called the quire. Must be an old english thing. https://www.stpauls.co.uk/history-co...s-in-the-quire

Looks like "quire" is just the older spelling for "choir". I think that due to Westminster Abbey being so old, they use "quire".
