Drink hard and often until you can't hardly see the cards in front of you. After you are down to your last $100 get away from tables and head over to the Palomino Club to end your evening. Hire the skankist girl you can find in there for a couple of lap dances and then go back to the hotel and pass out. 18 holes at the Desert Inn course the next day fully hung over would complete your stay but sadly they blew that sucker up. Just ask Landpoke what a good time this is.

Palomino Club? It is still around? I think my only visit was in my college days. I am sure I would have never dropped into a place like that after I was married.

That place is where I learned strippers don't necessarily like men better than women. Since then strip joints had no appeal to me.

And yet you still laid all that sod in your back yard. Robin's going to hear about this.

You can kiss up all you want, but I won't be sharing my grass with you anytime soon.

Told you he'd hear about it. What I didn't tell you is that he'd be fine with it.

If I had to hang in Vegas for an evening with anyone on this board, Landpoke would definitely get the nod. Dude puts the spearmint in Spearmint Rhino.

I'm looking for a Vegas pool recommendation. I always stay at PH because they comp me and their sportsbook/rooms have HD which wasn't the standard a couple years ago surprisingly.

ldc and I are going in August for our anniversary and I'm interested in the pool. As there won't be football the sportsbook is meaningless. I know Mandalay used to be the bees knees, is that still the top of the city for pools?

Ever stayed at Elara? I think it used to be one of PH's towers until Hilton bought it. Really cool rooms.

I've got nothin' to add about Vegas pools, sorry!

The pools at Red Rock (less than a mile from my house) or Green Valley are top notch without the Strip douchery.

If you'e looking for a really cool and contemporary hotel, Palm's Place is really great. It's next to The Palms, so that's a bit of a negative, but other than that, we enjoyed it for a little anniversary staycation.

One more thing. My wife and I finally saw Le Reve a couple weekends ago. We both thought it was fantastic.
I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

Can't really help you with pools, but there is a cool cover band that plays in PH you should check out if you have the time:

                          https://www.facebook.com/pages/Peter...singer?fref=ts

                          They play a couple nights a week from 9pm - 1am.

I'm trying to figure out what shows to see with my wife while in VEG. I've seen Love, O, Mystere, and KA (and would rank them in that order), she hasn't seen any. I will probably hit a Cirque show one night, and something else on another.

                            Any recommendations?

I saw Absinthe a week ago. Way over the top raunchy comedy, but some of the most unbelievable cirque style acrobatics you'll ever see--and 10 feet away. Don't go if she's easily offended, but highly recommended if not or on your own.

At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

                                Definitely not Mrs. V thing.

I've never seen BMG, there must be some appeal, since it has been around for so long.
