  • The pellegrino-approved template

At the request of management, I've been asked to put this together to give new members an opportunity to introduce themselves with a time-tested CS tradition. It's really simple, copy and paste the questions (all of which have a long history behind them) into your post and answer them.

The mandatory questions, things everyone wants to know about you:

    How did you find CS?

How did you choose your moniker?

What do you do (other than read CS)?

How many time zones have you lived in?

    What are your sports loyalties?

Are you looking forward to wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?

    Optional, but encouraged questions:

What do you like about CS?

What don't you like about CS?

Do you pee in the sink?

Did you ever consider an alternative career path?

When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?

What's your standing in the church? (this was originally meant as a joke but it stuck)

Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?

Do you expect anyone to respond to this thread?

People frequently suggest that new arrivals look to the template as a way to do an introduction, but they have to do a little hunting around to find it. I suggested that he post a copy and I would sticky it so that it would be easier to find.

Not formalized at all. Feel free to use or ignore.

I would've done it if he had sticky'd it before.

the original was done in honor of my 500th post, many long-time posters followed suit shortly after.

Shower flow is typically just over 2 gpm. If you have a newer toilet (mandated 1.5 or 1.6 gal/flush) you probably aren't saving very much water. If you have an older toilet the savings could be significant even without multitasking.

Perhaps the length of the shower is a function of something different. Maybe no matter how much you wash or pee, you just like to take a shower for a certain length of time before you feel ready to end it. Or maybe you're like one of my daughters who stays in there until the water heater runs out of hot water.
