The episode that really hooked me was the one where he takes Meadow to visit a college and bumps into an old friend.

That sounds like a TV Guide description. Did you get that from TV Guide?

Stick with it, eventually there's sweet payoff where one of the gangster's kids takes a dump in the junior high locker room shower.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I liked that episode a lot also. I went to Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Colby was a rival and it was fun to see the area again even if it wasn't filled in Maine. They did a good job of protraying the area. That was a pretty important episode in that the relationship between Meadow and Tony completely changed.

You're right. That is a great scene. This thread is making me want to rewatch the series. I think I've seen every episode at least twice already.

Okay, so I've finished the series now. I retract my former comment about not getting it.

I loved the ending. I sort of knew what to expect since it was discussed so much when the show ended, but it was still a surprise in a way. That final scene was awesome, IMO.

I thought the final scene was a huge disappointment. I wanted to see Tony get whacked.

I've thought about that a little bit.

                        Spoiler for ending:
Assuming you believe that he in fact did get whacked and that you just didn't get to see it, what would it add to actually show it happen on screen?

I'm one who believes that he was most likely killed by the members only jacket guy. I like to think that we've been in Tony's mind for most of the kills he's ordered, so it makes sense to have us be in his head when he gets killed.

For no other reason than I just like to see someone get their come upance. It's why I would rather see a photo of bin Laden just before the shots were fired.

For me the funniest episode of the entire series was obvious.

Knowing these characters made it even funnier.

                            It's NSFW.

You guys have probably seen this, but I enjoyed reading this analysis of the end.

I think it's pretty clear that David Chase wanted to leave enough clues for the hardcore Sopranos fans to figure out that Tony gets whacked in the end.

Very interesting read, but if you made it half-way through I truly applaud your attention span.
