I sure hope Hoke enjoyed his one win.. It may be his last.. I do however enjoy his rivalry smack.. Fueling the rivalry with calling OSU, "Ohio" and refusing to call them Ohio State was a step in the right direction.... I like it.. Glad to see a coach who cares about this game again..
I will say this.. I do not like the way they have treated Fickell in all of this at the end. By having "un-named OSU sources" leak this prior to the game and essentially putting the Lame Coach label on Fickell and his team was wrong.. What a distraction to them prior to such a big game (That they almost pulled out if it wasn't for a few game-time choices at the end)..
It seems Gordon Gee and Gene Smith have done a dis-service to Fickell in this case.
But he will remain on staff and I am sure Urban Meyer has already reached out to him.. He will stay and do a great job.
My prediction is Fickell will coach them in the Bowl Game with Urban on the sidelines chumming it up with his assistant Coach Fickell. The team will give him a win as HC for tOSU in the bowl game and all things will be settled..
Fickell handled this task better then any person could. I am sure many schools will be calling him, but will he go? I think he will remain. He is a C-Bus kid born and raised... But if he ever leaves I will be a fan of him wherever he goes...
Thanks Coach Fickell for a job well done...

Urban's Agent slams ESPN and their involvement in this.. Looks like ESPN had inside knowledge from Urban directly and instead of holding it based off his privacy as a employee of ESPN they ran with things they should not have..
Trace Armstrong said early Monday that an ESPN report was not correct, at least for the moment. He did not elaborate but said he could not confirm the report.
“I can’t,” Armstrong told CBSSports.com “There’s no hangup. I’ve got to leave it at that out of respect to Urban and the school. This is not my style to be out there in public like this. It’s to be discreet. Those folks [ESPN] have made a decision. I'm so disappointed that ESPN would go forward with something like this."
When asked if he had told ESPN the deal was done, he responded ...
"In the spirit, we've tried to keep them in the loop, they've jumped the gun a couple of times. It's most unfortunate."
