Funk, your hate for the Dodgers is far to great. But I like it. You mesh well with the Giant fans on the board.
It isn't so much a hatred for the Dodgers as much as it is a hatred for what the Dodgers stand for. I have admitted this in the past, but there was a day when the Dodgers were my favorite team in the minor leagues.

You are so wrong with this statement. Fun to argue but to say "undisputed". Come on now funkytime, don't you think that word should only be used when you have some concrete evidence to back that up.

The undisputed was an attempt to rile up the fans of the minor league. I do think the interleague record is a very compelling argument for the superiority of the AL.

What about World Series wins? Shouldnt that be the ultimate benchmark?

Look at the last 10 years:

Since Interleague play started both the AL and NL have won an equal number of championships. Looks like they are pretty even to me.

Silly NL fan. Championships are more reflective of which team has better luck than which team has better players.

Absolutely not. You are looking at an extremely small sample size which can be largely influenced by luck. Plus, we are talking about the overall quality of the leagues not which league has the best team. I think the NL may have the best team this year, the Dodgers, but the AL is the stronger league.

Not to mention the fact that you have teams like the 2006 Cardinals, a team that was very mediocre and the worst team in the playoffs, winning the World Series or the 2005 White Sox, another mediocre team, winning it.

              • 12-0 at home. Jeff Weaver must have pitched well only giving up 1 run tonight in 5 innings.

Let's hope they make it 13-0 at home tomorrow night.

Yesterday they tied the NL record for consecutive home wins to start a season (11...incidentally, Joe Torre was the manager of that 83 Braves team).

Tonight, they broke the old NL record and set a new one. They also tied the AL record, which was 12, held by some Detroit team from around 1915.

The Dodgers host the Nationals tomorrow and go for win 13....and history.

                  Think Blue.

Kershaw is on the dish tomorrow night and he has pitched well at the Ravine this year. Wolf on Thursday and Bills on Friday. Make it happen Blue Crew.

                      Definitely thinking Blue.

                      • Congrats to the Blue.

Lucky 13 and all alone in the history books.

What a monster offensive night again.

                        • I know you all were watching the Laker game. Just wanted to let you all know that the Dodgers made history tonight. 13-0 at home to start the year.

Keep it going Wolf. Dodgers face a really good young arm tomorrow night.

I was toggling back and forth. I actually saw most of the 8th inning.....I saw ManRam's double, Loney's single, etc.

This weekend will be great....the giants.
