I watched most of the game on TV - surprised at how little scoring compared to some of the previous games these two teams have had.

I'm not sure what happened to Britton Johnson for him to show up late for the game, but I was sure relieved when he did; just in the nick of time.

I was afraid for Tony Parks. I thought he might suffocate, as far has he had his head stuffed up Fakahafua's backside. Luckily once Britton showed up Tony could go back to sideline reporting.

I thought it was interesting that the TV guys named Fakahafua the player of the game. He's a beast on the block, to be sure. But I didn't find his play more impressive than some of the other players - particularly when you consider that he was in foul trouble and missed quite a bit of it sitting on the bench.

Lost last night as they stalled for last shot and lost 4th place game today.

I went to Third place game in Division II so missed 1a championship games which were close. Double overtime third place game. And every other game was fairly close. One came down to missed free throw. Great Idaho championship games.
It was too bad the Bulldogs slipped early against the Salmon River Savages. I would have liked to have a shot at Nez Perce or Carey, the town that scottie tore down!

The Bulldogs did rebound to thump Castleford and Meadow Valley in the consolation bracket. As far as I can tell, D-1 talent looked pretty sparse but at least one or two kids could have played for my regional championship winning wardball team!

Castleford was at one point only undefeated team in the State until Dietrich beat them. They lost in championship game of conference tournament. I heard did not shake Careys hands after the game. Dietrich lost by a point in elimination game to Murtaugh who had excellent first round oppenent in Kooteni. Castleford two and done. That was a surprise.

I could of spent all day at Idaho Center the other day if I did not go to a Third place game. Salmon River decent. Rockland looks like you better enjoy the ride because it does not look like they will be back at state next year. Looking at the program all but one senior on the team. I read at the www.sportsboard.com the message board sponsored by www.idahosports.com that they may not even be able to field a football team next year do to to few players. Any truth to that? Losing people. I thought they may be a tough one for football next year.

Southside North Gem, Castleford though they are losing people, Light House Christian, Murtaugh, Jackpot, Rockland and Sho ban, Northside for football Dietrich, Carey, Mackay, Clark County, Camas, Richfield and the Charter school North Valley in Gooding. People that just moved into our ward go to that school. May be in Dietrich next year. Take on football in conference next year.

Dietrich should be back at state in basketball next year. And the town Scottie tore down now that will be an intense game High School fans do not want to miss. I haven't missed at least some of many state games and hope to make it up there next year.

What do you expect out of Parks he is on the Utes payroll. Biggest homer by far in Utah media. That includes Wrubell and Dolce.

State brackets are put up on most states two years in advance. Sometimes a team losing a game will get better bracket than one winning district game. A Tennessee girls game had that happen and both got suspended. A guy in Idaho complained about seeding. For districts saying they are just. Fundraiser and takes away three months of hard work in three days. To win state got to beat the best. I don,t think there is a whole lot of throwing to get into better bracket at state. Though it does happen from time to time.

For those that follow girls bball is in Idaho this week. Local school won against school by Moscow Idaho, school 20 miles south of American Falls won in OT. Mat Paradis,s hometown went down to neighboring school. Uncle Ted,s alma mater and Lou Dobbs and the guy on coach,s alma mater are still alive. Had to pay a big fine for students making fun of neighbors mom. North of Burley, In the 50's they decided Goat didn,t need to stop at Buthes etc before ball game, uncle Ted didn,t need to go to school named after BYU broadcaster or bad luck for farmers, one school would do. Still alive for state for girls. I am not a huge women's fan myself though.

I went to Lou Dobbs and Uncle Teds alma mater for district championship today. Bathroom facilities for fans in Uncle Teds old stomping ground. Well there not the best. For 1500 fans couldn't,t they have better facilities. They beat there neighbors south of the Snake River so should have good seed in state. Preston ought to be good. Prep school in northern Idaho first year eligible tough. Matt Paradis,s hometown, have a shot, catholic school by Moscow tough, now school in county named after 16th President, they ought to be on to something a week from Saturday.

There was some great games today. Smartest school of less than 100 kids a rocky village, 15 miles south of American Falls. Still haven.t won a state championship in anything yet. 50 years ago team with little traffic won state at time had small branch, store and of course bar. Now same town has Atore, bar, bus barn, a self employed accountant and excavation owner. Did have self employed mechanic, now two wards well this year took state. Beat. A catholic school in cottonwood by a good margin, had a scare with Rc,s neighbor in county named after someone on Christmas vacation, anti Mormon senator too, pressed them and beat them, and Matt Oaradia,a alma mater he was at games yesterday and today, and many people got pictures with him, padre had seven calves born that morning, we're ahead most of game, made a bit of comeback in third but put them away. Brother cheered for his hometown that pays him. And daughter of his sore loser in pe, not too happy, not yet 8. But our team won it all. Ambrose won it, against Lapwai, school unbeaten all year, Ambrose Meridian church school.

Controversy over northern Idaho online church school. Paradis,s town put them out. Thinking they can recruit a don and on.

I left at half time of Firth and West side, low scoring. Parma won 1st championship ever against roommate,s alma mater
Fruitland, 4a had some close games, Uncle Ted and Lou Dobbs alma mater by stinky sugar factory 2 OT,s against Faldwell and won, Two against Bishop Kelley and Minico guy couldn't,t hear coach so fouled in 2 OT put Bishop K on line.

Preston beat BK. 5a Highland had guy whose folks moved to Poci when older bro graduated for bball probably, them and Rc,s hometown won on buzzer beaters last night, but tonight was Highlands night.

I could of stayed for all six games. Didn,t. Team did, I went with them to dinner last night waited some time. Mentions that in another three. Thought of staying tell at least 5a tam. Since team would get back late no big show when they came in. Wanted to party tommorrow with slide show, Bishop on coaching staff told them to wait tel Monday. Told Superintendent as well. Who is lds. Probably wouldn't,t go over well. Hear they will still have Chucky Cheese Wanamaker of local fire department escort bus back and people line streets at 11 at night. Wonder will Madison and Highland. Stay the night or roll in at three in the morning? Most of the players on both teams are lds. With the exception of Bishop Kelly most t
Players are lds in treasure valley too which surprised me, and urban northern Idaho non church schools, good chunk lds I think. Maybe I will line street. But today great day in Idaho for boys state!

One thing I noticed attending the state playoffs up at the U was the difference in the ads on the walls of the bathrooms compared to at BYU.
