  • Can we please get this thread back on topic? There are plenty of threads discussing Trump. This one is dedicated to Utah's favorite wanker.

    • Nice work by Huntsman. As a BYU fan I'm conditioned to love anything associated with a Kaufusi.

LOL. If there's anything that tells you something about the state of politics in Utah, it's this article.

It announces Huntsman's running mate. It then describes her. In the second to last paragraph, it lists the GOP opponents of Huntsman / Kaufusi. Then, the last paragraph:

Two Democratic candidates are also in the race: Zachary Moses and Nikki Pino.

                Barf. Still a wanker.

                • All the more reason to hope he loses. We don’t want genuinely good public figures relegated to lieutenant governor.

Pretty stupid and misleading, in my opinion. Only the governor is prohibited from fundraising during the bill signing period, not the Lt. Governor. That's because the Lt. Governor doesn't sign bills (obviously).

Did Cox get appointed to lead the Coronavirus response in order to boost his candidacy? Maybe. But he is also a great administrator and communicator and is probably the best person currently in state government to fill that role. I think he's done a great job so far.

                      Shameful.

                      Huntsman is indeed a wanker.

                      • Why would people be up in arms if Pence were running the Covid taskforce and running for President.

                        Some serious grasping there.

But they put the disclaimer at the end of each article so everything must be aboveboard.

The more I think about this, the more it pisses me off. At a time when we should be rallying together as a state and listening carefully to our state task force, they go and pull a stunt like that.

It's great news, actually. I thought Huntsman would stroll to victory. This shows they are really worried about the press Cox is getting right now.

Well maybe Huntsman should just roll out his beautiful family for us all to see.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
