I actually enjoyed the show a lot but thought this last half season was below the quality of the series overall.
PLesa excuse the tpyos.
I enjoyed the series and the finale, although it's apparent Julian Fellowes has become soft in his old age (Gosford Park wasn't nearly so feelgood at the end, as I recall). He reported that prior to the finale he had received messages like, "If Edith doesn't go to bed happy Christmas night, you'd better sleep with one eye open."
I thought that, as always, Maggie Smith had and delivered the best lines, including the bit about Denker's Salome dancing around Spratt's Herod.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
