  • Wheat Chex with milk and chocolate syrup

The breakfast (or lunch...or dinner...or dessert - it's versatile) combo you've been waiting for.

Wheaty "nutrition", touched with chocolate deliciousness, leaving you with a bowl of chocolate milk when you're done.

    You're welcome.

I will second. I prefer mixing it into chocolate milk before eating however.

I have explored many different healthy cereals with chocolate milk, and this is probably the best.

Guess I'm in good company. There is something about the Wheat Chex that just feels right with the chocolate milk - really not the case with the Corn and the Rice Chex varieties. Can't see it working with Special K and the like either.

I used to love wheat chex. It is not worth the epic heart burn cereal with milk gives me, however.

If I am going to eat dessert, it's going to be real dessert, not chocolate milk and cereal. Thanks anyway.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

The only thing to put on any cold cereal is milk. Nothing else. Sugar is a big no no.

I agree. Nothing but a nice splash of skim on my Lucky Charms for me...

Speaking of cereal, anyone tried this new granola at Costco?

I love it. Especially with soy milk and pomegranate seeds. Yum...

Meh. It wasn't bad, but it's not something I'll have regularly. I try not to drink too much chocolate milk. It tastes good, but it's not good for my figure.

Due to D&C mention of wheat in the WOW, I grew up eating all kinds of wheat foods besides bread -- Cream of Wheat, puffed wheat (no sugar version), popped wheat (heated in oil, the wheat 'pops' like popcorn, but doesn't puff up like popcorn. Still, it was very yummy with salt and butter, and the wheat came straight out of one of many bags of raw wheat that we kept in our basement food storage next to the Sam Andy's dried fruit), and then there was Wheat Chex, which was the only cereal that was always stocked in the pantry. I guess we were fortunate that no one had any wheat allergies.

I've never tried them with chocolate milk, but it sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a spin the next time I pix up some Wheat Chex, for the sake of nostalgia.

yikes. Sorry, OxC. After that epic post the other day you were rapidly rising on my list of favorite posters, but with a confession like this I'm going to have to reconsider.

I stopped by my parents after skiing today to pick up my niece. While waiting for her I enjoyed 2 bowls of wheat Chex. Delicious. I'm going to try the chocolate syrup next-sounds good.
