I've only heard that those artsy types can be brutal. Be careful out there, Robin. I don't want to read in the paper about someone dying as a result of assault with a deadly easel.

I just saw that I was scooped by Newsbot, but the link truly belongs here. New 30 for 30 short on Shawn Bradley:

+1. Bradley lived in my area for a short time before relocating to Utah. He was in one of the wards that shared our building. One night after YMs my teenage son spotted him in the parking lot and ran over to shake his hand. Shawn responded and gave his usual friendly smile. It impressed my son that someone with a future in the NBA would serve a mission. He's one of the good guys.

+1 When Hurricane Katrina wiped out New Orleans Shawn Bradley was there with us (the "mormon helping hands") to saw up trees and rip out the dry wall. He didn't need a ladder. He is, indeed, one of the good guys.

I liked that video. Good stuff.

I played against Shawn at BYU basketball camp -- never dunked on him though.

I think Bradley and Travis Knight were the only future NBA players I ever played against in high school. Can't remember any others.

He played high school ball in CA and I don't remember him being at BYU camps.

                    That was a nice piece.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
