  • My #1 Concern about the game today

Is that we get a replay of the TCU debacle.

    In these 2 instances.

#1. I'm worried that Utah is going to get off to a fast start and before we blink BYU is down 14, 17, or 21-0 and the game is pretty much over early forcing BYU to play from behind the rest of the game. I mean if I were Andy Ludwig I would go for the home run right off the bat and put BYU on their heels immediately.

#2. That Hall is going to be under constant pressure ala the TCU game and struggle to find the open guys because of no time to get the ball off.

If it's early or middle of the 2nd quarter and we're only down by 1 score then and the teams have begun to settle down then I'll know we're in for a dogfight.

That's it...I just don't want to see our guys get blown off the field early as Utah comes out amped up behind a racous crowd and just obliterates us before we know what's happened...that's been my main concern all week long.

Kruger and Misi aren't as fast as the TCU ends, so I don't think the pressure from the outside will come as quickly as it did. BYU should hit the A/B gaps to try to establish the run. Of course, I think we'll see more Eliapo and Siliaga to fill those gaps because they are biger and stronger than Newman and Shelby.

I think the biggest key for the Utes today is going to be on offense. Utah needs to use Louks effectively because he is so much faster than BJ and that receiver who took snaps is what killed BYU. If Utah can get Louks around the corners like the kid from TCU did, it will make it much easier for Utah today.

Bingo. Louks scares me more than any player on the utes team. IMO, the worst thing that could happen to BYU would be for BJ to get injured.

Beyond that, I have the same worries as Rocky.
