Here's a wikipedia link with all state alcohol laws to save everyone from typing boring anecdotes that are irrelevant to the ABV restrictions in place in Utah.

For the record. I don't think the church should have gotten involved. But I also don't think it is a huge convenience going to a liquor store either. Like in the clip from Strange Brew, half of the 7-11s have liquor stores next to them. I'm not concerned at all about the commerce/economic hit either. Grocery stores will find a way to stay in business and those who want alcohol with get alcohol just fine.
I don't follow liquor laws closely, but the Zion curtain was a much dumber law. I was for getting rid of that. I'm fine either way with this law.

Can we get back to how absolutely absurd it is that the LDS church is fighting SB132 which has as its sole and only change to the liquor laws the change from 4.0 to 6.0 for beer sold in stores. Every other thing remains the same. Oh wait, I know why they are fighting it, because like every single change to liquor laws that have occurred in this state they must take back with 2 hands while giving with 1 hand.
It will happen that eventually higher weight beers will be sold in grocery stores, but something is going to be tacked onto it that makes it worse than before. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression
