My grandfather was ordained an Elder at 15 - and married in the SLC temple the next week
I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I was denied my legacy mission marriage when I was emergency transferred from Springfield to Joplin and was not allowed to write to any female within the mission boundaries.

I learned in church today

Sacrament meeting today was almost all music. A former bishop was the lone speaker, with just a 5 minute talk. But he made a little faux pas. After saying his favorite part of Christmas as the story of Christ’s birth (duh), he then said “because we all know Santa is fake”.
I talked to him after the meeting, and he said he saw a concerned look on the faces of some young parents after he said it. He said he meant to say that the department store Santa’s are fake.

Weirdest thing I have ever heard in church today. A French dude with a heavy accent conducting at a combined ward Christmas sacrament meeting says something to the affect of "we'll now take the sacrament. Please remember that we are promising to be kind to one another and love during the rest of the week.... So men, no beating your wives this week".
5ish people kind of snickered and there was several audible gasps. After the sacrament he stood back up and apologized. It was seriously awkward.
