Vermont Curry rules!
I prefer using pork.
Served with Japanese koshihikari rice (Kagayaki is the best I've found at Asian stores here in the U.S.).
Be sure to pick up some fukujinzuke to eat with the curry.
The kids jump for joy when we make curry.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

looks good MBN! I'm no curry expert, and I don't have recipes, but I had something a few weeks ago that I liked so I tried to make it at home....turned out pretty good. Maybe someone can tell me the name for the curry that features sweet potato (NOT yams) with basil, red peppers, coconut milk, and all the usuals (meat, onions). I used a jar of red curry paste. Paired with basmati rice. I think I needed palm sugar instead of the brown sugar I used, but for a novice attempt at curry sans recipe I thought it was pretty good.

Hey MBN,
I am going to do some Japanese curry tomorrow and I am going to try some of the tips you suggest here:

What kind of pork do you recommend?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Yes, the Vermont curry brand is quite mild. Even the "hot" flavor."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Masaman is generally a bit more mild than some of the other curries so it would be a good one for your kids. What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Given the name, it sounds perfect for lunch."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

More Indian style curry (lamb and chicken) than Japanese or Thai
I may be small, but I'm slow.

As I recall that place was firebombed (attempted) and severely vandalized by some knuckle dragging mouthbreather(s) during the week following 9/11/2001.
