You can't post stuff like this if you didn't catch who it was. This will bother me until I find out.

          • Since coming here from Montreal several years ago, this team has had to endure a lot, including bad GMs, bad managers, bad contracts for players that won't produce, playing games in RFK stadium which is not really built for baseball, and no fan support outside the last few years. For the people that have been with this team since they got here, and I'm sure those in the organization, this has to be extremely satisfying. In this day and age of win now, Mike Rizzo continued to preach patience to the local reporters and fans. It has finally paid off this year with the first of what we hope are many more postseason appearances. Now the real work begins!

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Even though listening to him talk kind of drives me nuts, it is also big vindication for Davey Johnson who still has it.

Right. They took some heat when they unloaded Riggleman for Davey.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I don't follow the NL as much as I do the AL, but it seems to me that Harper is making a good case for NL Rookie of the Year. He's at least proven the detractors wrong that said Washington panicked by calling him up too early.

You know baseball, Paddy. How does he stack up in batting and in fielding skills for a player as young as he is?

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

For his age there are few he compares to.

Wilin Rosario should get the nod ahead of Harper. Better numbers across the board and in 140 less at bats. The future of Rockies baseball is looking bright!

What Bryce has done is more impressive given his age and team he plays for. Rosario has had 6 seasons in the minors.

He was fabulous as a high school player but that doesn't mean much. His bat speed seems extraordinary.

He does play the most difficult position in baseball. A 23 year old catcher is about the same developmentally as a 21 year old outfielder. If Harper had stayed behind the plate he'd get more respect from me.
