Seriously? I have the menu on my fridge and the price says $250 per person. Of course, that's no wine, as I don't drink any. But 1k for two still seems steep.

My life's goal is to either eat there or TFL.

It seems that it's $275 per person, and in my calculation I included an appetizer as well, which would bring it up close to $800. By the time you add in a bottle wine, tax, and tip, that's where I got the $1000 from.

The appetizer does seem superfluous now, so if it's just the $550 and another $100 for wine, you could get out of there for probably less than $800 (I forget what the tax rate is over there).

Oh yeah, Momofuku is top of my list for my next NYC visit. Did anyone else see David Chang on Letterman? I wanna hang out with that guy. Between his blog and that TV appearance, he seems like a cool dude.

Yeah, you wouldn't need an app. Also, the menu on my fridge says gratuity is included in the price. On the menu you posted, it says "service included." Does that refer to the tip? I don't know.

Oh didn't notice that. That might be code for "tip included" or it might be reassurance that they're not going to fleece you even more for silverware rental. I haven't eaten in enough fancy places to know.
