    No, not mine.

I can't believe--to this day--that someone thought it was a good idea to name a bean bag company...based in Provo...LoveSac.

It does indeed highlight the massive repression issues in this fair land (yes, i'm at the Bird this weekend) but still...LoveSac? Bejeezus H. Cankersore, that was either a play on said repression or complete naivete (i believe the former, but what if the latter is true?? Hilarious if so).

I hate to see failure at any level...I cheer all business on...better for all of us to have lots of success go around but...oy...LoveSac

    It's based in SLC.

I have the original prototype BYU Lovesac. It is one of my favorite possessions.

The best use of love sacs that I have seen was at Burning Man. There was basically this yurt, in the blazing hot desert. Inside they had laid out Persian style rugs on the desert floor. In the middle of the yurt were hot nekid hippie chicks serving iced tea at a kneeling level bar, and around the sides of the yurt were a bunch of love sacs for relaxing and listening to wind chimes while enjoying cold beverages in the shade. At night they played groovy music and it was a nice place for people to come down from all sorts of chemical journeys.

The Puffy Check played at someone's house and came home wanting their own lovesac for TV/movie watching. I went and priced them out and they are ridiculous. Do any of you own one of these things? Did you pay retail? They seem like something that will rarely get used and take up space, like the scriptures or food storage or wall-mounted FHE assignment charts.

I am all for chillin while getting your Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu groove on, but not if it is going to cost me over $500 to do it.

I just picked one up on craigslist for the place- they're indispensable for movie watching w/ company. (previously everyone tried to awkwardly cram onto the sofa or sat on the floor w spine against the sofa- lame)

100 bucks is about the going rate. I paid a little more b/c it came w/ a 'utility cover' so I can take it outside for fireworks or something :rockon2:

We picked one up at Costco years ago at a big discount.

$100 sounds like a better deal. What size? I'd rather get them smaller individual ones that can be moved upstairs or downstairs depending on where they want to watch their show. On the websites, some of the new ones for kids cost over $500 each.

I am uneasy about buying used ones from college students given the amount of dry humping and porn-induced self-abuse that those overstuffed foam filled ben wa balls have probably endured.

Just make sure you buy from a BYU student to avoid all of your self abuse worries.

I got the full-sized one. It seats 2 adults comfortably, and wasn't too difficult to move. I would think a kid's LS would be a bit cheaper still... like from the 50-70 dollar range. Also, most love sacs have interchangeable covers you can switch out. I don't think kids mind if they're sitting on suede or not, so those covers shouldn't be too pricey. Last, it seems that love sacs can be had at about any garage sale or on any given day on CL.

They may not remember him but Solon, Green Lantern, and Mormon Red Death went to high school with the founder of LoveSac (who later won the 'be Richard Branson's replacement for 6 months' contest).

If you are buying a used one you might want to give it the black light check before paying. Just saying...

Anybody here own a lovesac brand sectional sofa? We’re in the market for a new sectional, and we are having a hard time finding something we like that makes the best use of our available space.

We checked these out today and, while they are definitely overpriced, the versatility is pretty much unmatched. I’m curious about the durability of both the cushions and the covers.

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

My neighbor used to work for LoveSac. I'll see what he says.

my friend used to work somewhere where they installed a bunch of love sacs to make the break room more comfortable. They had to remove them because too many people were having sex on them.
