Comcast still sucks, but I'm happy to hear this.

I'm still battling DTV to credit me for the first three months that Versus was gone. I called and told them that they shouldn't charge me for a product I wasn't receiving, but it took them 3 months to finally get around to not billing me for Versus. I'm sure they'll gladly start billing me now.

That was what the big fight was over. Hopefully it will be the same basic package it was on before.

I totally predicted this turn of events in this thread back in January.

Will DirecTV soon get Vs. back?

Okay, so I didn't predict anything, more just thinking aloud if/how the FCC ruling would affect things.

Now that Vs. is back on DTV, I wonder if the ruling had anything to do with DTV and Comcast coming to agreement. Maybe Comcast realized that their position is severly weakened by the order, which was targeted at both

"discrimination in the prices, terms, and conditions for the sale of programming among multichannel video programming distributors (“MVPDs”) by a provider of terrestrially delivered programming that is wholly owned by, controlled by, or under common control with one or more of the following: a cable operator . . . "

and

"efforts by a cable operator to unduly influence the decision of its affiliated provider of terrestrially delivered programming to sell its programming to a competitor."

If this is the case, it seems that the other shoe to drop will be the mtn joining the channel line-up on Dish.

My understanding is the previous arrangement will be restored, so it will remain on the basic package.
