But that might just be me.
I was wrong.
You've got quite the creative mind there, soldier.

Creative's the guy who we surprised in flagrante delicto with a slutty overripe cantaloupe in the middle of a cane field we were taking a shortcut across one afternoon in 1993."Yeah, but never trust a Ph.D who has an MBA as well. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Sans the gerbils it's still a wild scene that Goat created.

If you want creative, imagine a scene involving the cowgirl position on a waterbed with both people covered in sugar with a swarming hive on honeybees on them. All the while, there's a discoball going with Ministry's "Just One Fix" playing synched up with an old tv playing an endless loop of lottery drawings."Yeah, but never trust a Ph.D who has an MBA as well. It's only uncreative if you haven't seen it before... :yikes:

I would hope my Bishop would agree with me that I do not have a problem with porn.

Nevertheless, I get the impression that its support groups, which are adapted from AA's 12-step program, are pretty successful in helping people overcome things like addiction to pornography.
Porn addiction does not exist in the real world of psychology. It can fall under compulsive behaviors or "hypersexual disorder", like not being able to live without porn and winding up fired because you look at it at work, or you ignore your wife/husband in favor of porn (an actual problem in Japan).
I personally cringe when people try to make a moral issue into a psychological issue. What next, dope a 16 year old girl for visiting a porn site? That would not surprise me since Americans seem to think everything can be fixed with prescription drugs. America is the most medicated society on earth. Hey, maybe someone could figure out a way to shut off the brain centers associated with sex until such time that a man and woman want to go out dating. Opps, that would negate their impulse to find a marriageable partner. That's right folks, lust and infatuation are the bait that hooks a couple into marriage. I knew this girl who, if she got turned on sexually by a guy, she would stop dating him on the spot -- you know, unwholesome thoughts had to be the proof that the relationship was not spiritual. Sad that despite her beauty and intelligence she is now past 40 and unmarried. maybe when she reaches an age that the hormones no longer flow she will find that special guy to go to the temple with.
I am not a fan of porn because I think it encourages behavior that is outside the bounds of married life and sex. However, like any other stimulation for the brain (food for example) it is natural for one to crave it and with the internet the availability is there all the time.
Oh, and yes, the more we talk about porn in church (focus on it) the more we encourage its use. And another thing, is it really good to discuss such an issue in front of little kids? I think Brigham Young and Joseph Smith's jaws would drop to the floor seeing little kids in the audience when porn is being discussed an neither of them were prudes by any measure.Last edited by edward777; 02-02-2013, 02:43 AM.
