I saw it and it was awesome. But I wouldn't take a pre-13 year old kid to see it. Them aliens is scary!
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

But it did an excellent job telling a story and is worth watching if you're in the mood for something a little different.
Your synopsis was better than mine.

            • (500) Days of Summer - Great, great movie.
Harry Potter - Blech. I just can't get into these.

I re-watched this the other night. The film that JGL watches at the theater is really enjoyable. And I still swoon over the expectations vs reality scene.

                • I loved 500 Days of Summer when I saw it. What a great flick.

Looking for more info on Cowboys and Aliens. Did it have funny moments like Iron Man?

                  • Last movie I saw was The Living Wake.

Sometimes you can find little unknown gems on Netflix, this wasn't one of them. I really wanted to like this; dark humor, very dry...but it just didn't quite pull together like I would have liked. It sat of the fence of good/bad movie and eventually fell onto the bad side.

It was fun, but it took itself surprisingly seriously. Daniel Craig makes a great cowboy though.

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

Drama that centers on a father and husband who loses his job, but is too ashamed to tell his family. It started to lose me in the 3rd act, but the final scene is incredible.

                            • Saw Crazy, Stupid, Love. on Tuesday. It was a decent romantic comedy, redeemed by the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. They were fantastic. Actually, with a couple major exceptions, the cast was very good. Steve Carell, Julianne Moore and Marisa Tomei were all great. The script itself was kind of a mess and it gives in to formula. Enjoyable though.

Last night I finally caught X-Men: First Class. Maybe my expectations were too high, since I'd been hearing from several sources that it was the best comic book movie of the summer, but I found it pretty mediocre. Outside of Michael Fassbender as Magneto and James McAvoy as Professor X, the cast was pretty terrible. Not a single person stood out in any noteworthy way (ah, except Kevin Bacon, who makes a great scenery-chewing villain.) On top of that, most of the action was second rate and there was a campiness to the whole affair that made the proceedings seem pretty silly.

The best comic book movies are able to marry these fantastic concepts and action with grounded, charismatic heroes, letting the audience suspend their disbelief and overlook how ridiculous the whole thing may seem at first glance. The best I can say about this one is that it was better than Green Lantern, but that ain't high praise. It was nowhere near as enjoyable as Thor and Captain America.

                              • Finally saw Inception.

I don't understand what the big deal was about this movie. Maybe it was lost on me.

Too much thinking and in the end I felt like a wasted some time finishing the movie.

Probably just me...but when everyone absolutely raves about a movie I usually end up not enjoying it.
