Especially...and I recommend everyone try this at least once...the banana cream cheese cake.
Unbelievable.
I'm not a big fan of banana cream pies, but this thing...this thing is magnificent.

If you are north of Salt Lake and want some REALLY good Indian food, try Taste of India in Layton.
I know. Whoddathunk you could get good Indian food in Davis County.
Also, I have a thing for the garbanzos and chicken curry at Curry in a Hurry. It's not fancy. It's not even the best. It's just a thing. Especially the garbanzos. The spices they use are fantastic.
How about Nielsen's frozen custard? When I'd come back to Utah, it seemed like that was a favorite of mine, too.
Okay, another suggestion for dining in Northern Utah. There is a place in Eden, UT, called Harley and Buck's. Believe it or not, they have FANTASTIC ribs.
Also, I highly suggest the bread pudding (yeah, gross, I know, right? WRONG!) at Union Grill in Ogden. (I know...Ogden, right? WRONG!)
For burgers, though, I still have a soft spot in my heart for a Utah original, Hires.

Oh, hey. Here is another suggestion. It's not a chain. It's a single location. Sego Lily restaurant on main street in Bountiful.
Haven't been for a while, but we used to frequent the place. I don't know why we got out of the habit. It reminds me that we need to go.
It's a nice little local place to get some grub. I like their stuff.Last edited by Portland Ute; 12-08-2012, 10:29 PM.

(For those of you counting at home...so far in my short 2 months on this forum...i have disclosed 4 prior locations of employment.)
AND WHAT ABOUT TASTY'S! Love those donuts...and their crab-salad sandwiches. Too bad they closed shop in both South Jordan and Sugarhouse...I think they retreated back to Ogden...Last edited by scandell; 01-10-2010, 09:06 AM.

I got through high school on Tasty's club sandwiches and double blueberry donuts. Thank goodness I played soccer year round.

Anybody like Salvadoran food? We just found a great place tonight called Cafe Guanaco. They had some excellent pupusas.Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...
None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.
I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.
