The 400mm lens (the really big one) belongs to my BIL, I just borrowed it for the occasion.

So that's why you were on the sidelines.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Terrific photos, HFW. Post more game shots, please.

Now I realize that you're pals with Surfah, Hot Lunch and DDD, but do you have any more pissy, angry, or funny USC photos? We all know that you zoomed in on their sideline looking for some.

          Spoiler for cheerleader example:

I was looking for you during the game.

I saw someone who looked like you on the Oregon sideline but he didn't have a camera so I assume it wasn't you.

My 2 year old really loved the false starts. He would start rolling his hands with the officials.

I saw the guy with the Cookie Monster costume on TV. Is that a popular costume out there? It looked better on you.

            Great pics. I'm really jealous.

ESPN's next big thing, Jen Brown.

Sadly the only pic I got of Havili. Cougswin works with his brother and I was hoping to get one that he could give to him.

                Umm...

This was the only person that could have passed for a celeb on the SC sideline, except I have no idea who he is. Probably just a family member or something.

Dennis Dixon was there and rocking his Steelers SBXLIV ring

                RoJo in warm ups

I missed the shot, but T3 is my favorite Duck of the last few years. He had a look on his face that just killed me for him. This team is going to go to the Rose Bowl and he played 1 play (opening kickoff against Cal) of P10 action.

There is something very cool about being among the first people in the stadium, in a way almost creepy.

I walked by Trevor Matich and said "We needed some luck last week in Provo. That was brutal." He shrugged his shoulders and said "Ehh." He has to be pushing 4 bills, the dude is massive.

Another good shot of Uncle Phil

I don't really know why but this picture cracked me up.

Ken Norton leading the guys in warm ups, he was yelling and cursing and spitting (figuratively), but it didn't translate as well as a still picture.

                  CJ Gable in warm ups

Trojans getting off the line. I wish I would have framed this better, but I got the effect I was hoping for.

More Ken Norton, that would have been better as a video.

The guy from the Daily Emerald (school paper) saw me take this and said "Great idea." He took at least 100 photos of the song girls the rest of the game. Every time I saw him he had his lens pointed at them.

Taylor Mays helmet. I know it says #10 on the back, but I give you my word he picked it up and put it on seconds after I snapped the picture.

Everson Griffen heading to the locker room before the end of the first half.

                      Brian Baucham back up CB

                      Joe McKnight leaving the field.

Most yards gained on USC since 1946. worst loss since 1997. The thought I had driving home last night was that every college football team has one of those nights, and they get over it by saying "Hey it happens to everyone." The truth is this doesn't happen to USC. Often wins dim with time, for myself I think this one will only grow.

Christian Tupou, at least has LDS roots, his brother Fenuki Tupou played on the 2007 Duck team that beat USC in Autzen and was once my friend on myspace.

                      Barkley behind center, 1st half.

                      Brandon Carswell

                      Joe McKnight

This would have been a great photo, I almost had it. Almost doesn't count in photography.

HFN do you have a link to the entire album? I'd like to see all of them if you are down for that. These are really nice pics.

I know I said it before, but i guess I had no clue that you were into photography, let alone enough to have some serious equipment and skills. The pics are high quality stuff. I wasn't kidding when I said you should try to parlay this into a more regular gig with the Ducks......offer to shoot them on the road, even if you have to pay your own travel expenses. Fun excuse to travel to games.

Kenjon "The Burner" Barner, yes I thought up that very clever nickname. Returning USC's first kick off deep into Oregon territory.

The Burner, after a cutback on the same kick return.

                          Samoan Tim Teebow

Robbie Boyer after a nice special teams play.

                          TJ Ward tackling Joe McKnight

                          DJ Davis

Joe McKnight again with the almost shot...

Last one, the man of the night. I am not holding my breath that he will be invited to NYC, but find me someone playing better in college football right now than Jeremiah Masoli...

Thanks again for all the kind words.

I have not uploaded them all anywhere, I took about 1300 pics. Many are throw away out of focus, guys feet, etc. I will upload more to my photobucket which is open to all, HuskyFreeNorthwest.

The main photog Chris emailed me today and told me that for a first timer I was fantastic. He said I could most likely do some of the Thursday basketball games if I wanted since they often don't send someone to those, and that he felt like I could be around for a football game next year. I wouldn't want to do it every game. I enjoy being a fan, sitting with ldc, taking my boys. But I would love to do it once or twice a year, especially if it could be road games.

Edit: DDD do you know who the dude in the red glasses is?
