  • The official Zach Wilson thread - Best Ever QB in World History

OK, the kid deserves an official thread. I reserve the right to adjust the thread title going forward, especially when his Heisman campaign takes off.

Wilson is the youngest QB ever to start for BYU (he looks like he is 16!), but wow he seemed confident and mature. His performance was way beyond what I expected. I am sure there will be some hiccups along the way, but it will be fun to see what he can accomplish.

Also, this might be the best photoshop job ever.

Rivals says he originally committed to Boise. I wonder what happened?

Ty Detmer originally received a commitment from his nephew Zadock Dinkleman. When Ty was fired and Grimes came in, he quickly realized that Dinkleman sucked and rescinded his offer. Wilson was one of the highest rated QBs in the state (right behind Cammon Cooper a Washington St commit) and Grimes set his sights on Wilson. He was able to flip him very late in the process, and here we are.

Déclassé for you to start this thread. I'll pour out an appletini out of respect. I suggest you all do the same.

And Utah promised Tuttle they wouldn’t recruit another QB in the class. Tuttle may turn out to be my favorite Ute QB of all time.

I have fear that Tuttle may be a Heaps or Mangum and that the best lifelong Utah fan QB ever becomes something special at BYU.

                    That would hurt

It would hurt all 46K Utah fans that cram into our band box stadium 6-7 times per year to watch the Utes struggle on offense.

Thread title sucks, but I guess you knew that. I would have preferred something along the lines of the second coming of jimbo m’f’n mcmahon. Wilson is our Moses. He will spurn the false traditions in which he was raised and lead us out of captivity.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I have no idea if Zach Wilson will be our Moses, but man he was fun to watch. Great mix of talent, moxy, and mobility. It was fun to see our boys win, but so nice to see them drop a load of points and kick Hawaii's ass like it was 1980-something.
