  • The official weather thread

You can come here and tell us about what a nice evening you are experiencing or how beautiful the mountains look with a dusting of snow or how the fog didn't burn off until almost noon but I'm going to use it to bitch about the weather. The wind this spring has been Ripken like, it never takes a day off. Finally yesterday the wind started to die but we are in the middle of a second day of a steady drizzle. We get ten inches of rain a year so two days in a row is almost unheard of. I've played 27 holes this year, my miles are down, I'm going crazy.

It's going to be 72 and sunny today with no wind. Wish I was golfing...

      This is getting embarrassing.

I'm going to be over in Jackson sometime in the next four weeks. I need you to meet me at the top of Teton Pass so I can smack some manliness/sense back into you. (To those who are tempted, I understand. But don't. RC needs a major intervention here.)
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

      Tomorrow is Saturday
      And Sunday comes afterwards

The weather here in Utah was nice on Saturday. Of course, by Sunday it was awful again. It is still awful today.

A rainy weekend led to a beautiful mid 70's sunny, albeit breezy day. Today is the same with no wind.

High today is 74, partly cloudy. 81 tomorrow, no clouds. It did rain some last night though, but I was already in the house and didn't notice until I was going to bed.

I have a new sense of empathy for people who live in Seattle now.

No wonder a lot of the time they sound a bit incoherent.

What are you talking about? We live in the land of Eternal Spring! I love having green grass in January, and the weather is never too hot nor too cold.

We have a lot of what locals call "rain", but honestly we have only a handful of true "gully washers" annually. We live on the "leeward side" of the Olympic mountains, which trap most of the Pacific moisture (the west side of the Olympics is a true rain forest). Rarely do we have anything like the storms I experienced in New England, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Florida, or even Utah. Most of the time it is a mild drizzle, interspersed with broken cloudy skies. I find the people who complain the most about the weather have spent very little time outside of Washington (or east of the Cascades, for that matter).

Summer typically is quite dry for 6 weeks or so, with a week or so in the low 90s. Winters give us a few weeks in the low 30s, with a few nights into the upper teens.

We sit in Baby Bear's chair, eat his porridge, and sleep in his bed. And it is JUST RIGHT.

Oh yes, low to mid 60s and partly sunny all week, with lows in the upper 40s - low 50s.

Weather on the TV this morning said it was supposed to get to 80 this weekend - '83 here we come

On the days it gets above 80 in the summer, I'll resurrect this thread and you guys can hear me bitch plenty.

Otherwise, I have no real weather complaints.

it would be sweet if the weather was nice a week from friday. a complete change in wedding reception plans would be a pita.

It's damn hot today. Record high nearing 90 degrees. Yesterday was mid 80's.
