I am ashamed

I was unable to stay healthy long enough to run my marathon in November. This local doctor just completed the Sac. marathon and he's in his 80's. I see him everyday here in the hospital and the guy can barely walk. He's hunched over and feeble looking and you'd never guess what a warrior he is. He still runs a marathon every year.

I saw him finish the Turkey Trot a couple of weeks ago. He came across the finish line in a stooped mad dash. I really thought he was going down. But he kept his feet under him and received a heros welcome from a bunch of bystanders. It was kind of cool to see. I had no idea he was 80. I'm pretty sure he finished averaging pretty close to 10 min miles.
