Turning point for when BYU was in trouble or turning point for when the game was over. Because the first was opening kickoff and the later was the Max Hall pick six. Although the fumble on the kickoff was also a huge hit to morale, IMO.
I guess that means other.

Turning point when what little air was in the balloon was let out. I still say it was the fumble that cost BYU 7 points and gave FSU a 13 point lead. When we couldn't stop them, being down by 13 was too much.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostTurning point for when BYU was in trouble or turning point for when the game was over. Failure to stop FSU on the drive that put them up 27-14. When it was 20-14 and they were driving, had we stopped them there it is potentially a very different game.
The offense was playing great up to that point other than the fumble. But after that drive, I think the O tightened up and was trying to hard to play catch-up.
Of course, one could argue the turning point of this game was when the Defense ran out of the tunnel. Or even before that when they watched too much SportsCenter, read their own press clippings, whatever the hell went on to make them think they could play like grandparents and win this game."It's true that everything happens for a reason. Just remember that sometimes that reason is that you did something really, really, stupid."

Love your last paragraph. It appears that Bronco and Bowden saw the same thing. For the life of me, I don't understand how we can't get up for these big games. Hawaii in 2001. TCU in 2008. FSU in 2009. Not saying we would have won, but to stink it up like we did.Originally posted by FMCoug View PostFailure to stop FSU on the drive that put them up 27-14.
