  • Nervous Anticipation

I am fighting nervous excitement about the Utes game against Oregon. It is a game that I think we should win, but the SJSU game left enough questions to damper any confidence. Will our corners play better? Will we figure out how to punch it in from 5 yards in? Will we kick a :swear: field goal?

This game could be all over the map from a close game to a rout by either team. Oregon is better than they have played. Will they continue to struggle or will they find their stride offensively?
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."

"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

And when it comes to prunes, is 5 too many and 1 not enough?

It was definitely the hardest call for me this week in the Pick'em, and in the end I simply went with the oddsmakers. I think it is my lowest confidence pick other than the upsets. The Utes have very good talent, and I am a believer in Kyle's coaching ability, but so much about the team seems to be raw still. Cain has flashes of brilliance, but is still growing into his position. The corners are young. Autzen is scary. You have worse kicking problems than we do (and that's saying something).

For the good of the conference, I hope I'm wrong.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

I think I'm more nervous about the Boise State and U-Dub games, but you guys better take it to em. I'm sure Kyle is well aware of the tools he has to work with at this point.

So you agree that the Ute squad is a bunch of tools?

It would have worked better if Commando wasn't a BYU fan.

I should have added my I'm not worried comment to this. Sorry. Mods, can you fix it?
