Starting yesterday before church and continuing through today, I have had at least 20 people tell me "congratulations on the big win" or some close derivation. I'm not sure how to take this, especially since I left the DVR on pause 2 plays before Bradford went down to go to the temple and didn't finish watching the game until 10:30 Pacific time. Should I be happy everyone knows that I'm a big BYU fan? Or should I politely correct people and let them know I actually didn't play or contribute much to the outcome?

We had a poll on this on Cougarguard. A majority of respondents said they were ashamed to wear their BYU clothes in public. One who wasn't, 3D, said that he always tells himself people are thinking he's wearing Yale stuff.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostStarting yesterday before church and continuing through today, I have had at least 20 people tell me "congratulations on the big win" or some close derivation. I'm impressed you blew off the game to go to the temple. That shows real devotion to your faith. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Our temple had been closed for two weeks and my wife scheduled an appointment before she realized it was the same time as the game. I will readiy admit I expected the Cougs to lose by 14+ so I figured I would just watch the game when I got back. It truly was trial of my faith, or actually more not wanting to annoy my already dressed wife to leave when I saw how tough they were playing.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWe had a poll on this on Cougarguard. I have no problem wearing my commandeered BYU PE shirt and matching Stockton shorts every time I go out. Not only does it show my college allegiance, but the polyester shorts show the close observer my parents followed at least one Jewish tradition.
