    Polls are Out

    Cougars #9 in the AP and #12 in the Coaches

    Utes check in at #17 in both (I think)

    TCU#16 in both

    BSU #11 in the Coaches and #12 in the AP

    Florida St. drops out, as does Oregon.

    CSU and Air Force get votes.

      Too bad for BSU, they were hoping that the polls would carry them past their horrid schedule.

          wow. mwc dominating with 3 top 20 teams. not a bad start for the Utes, cougs, and horny frogs.

            This is the 57th time BYU has been in the AP top 10. Utah has made 19 top 10 appearances.

                BSU has very little place to go up. I think they are very close to their peak. Computer formulas are going to kill them.

                BYU top is 5.

                Utah makes it to 10-12, assuming they can continue to win.

                TCU has similar motility to Utah.

                I predict the holy war is the war for a BCS game.

                We will see 3 top 25 MWC teams. This is good.

                    I hate to jump past games, but week 3 is huge for the MWC. BYU-FSU, Utah-Oregon, TCU-Clemson. If we get wins in these 3 games, then I don't see any of the 3 dropping out of the top 20(unless disaster strikes).

                    They will all win the rest of their games outside of the round robin with the worst case scenario being three 11-1 teams, with the likely being one 12-0, one 11-1, and one 10-2. This would place all 3 very likely in the top 15 BCS standings. This will give credibility to the staying power of the conference.

                        You, as a student of SU's posts, should know that rankings in the MWC are a zero-sum game. BYU and Utah must not do well simultaneously.

                        Seriously, this is simply great. My dream season is for BYU and Utah to be undefeated and ranked in the top 5 going into the rivalry game. How terrific would that be?

                              If BYU and Utah remained undefeated until they played each other, would both play in a BCS boll? I realize this is pie in the sky for both teams after one games, just tossing out a hypothetical.
