After watching the game for a 4th time a few more thoughts.

First Gerald Mccoy is sick, that guy is absolutely unbelievable and laid it all on the line. I would not be surprised if he is the number 1 overall pick in the draft this year.

When I watched the game the first few times I didnt really notice Jan much, so I specifically focused on him and he played very well doing exactly what a 3-4 D-end is supposed to do. He did a great job filling his gaps and stringing out OUs running backs allowing the linebackers to make the plays. The big difference between this year and last is after he filled the gap he didnt have to worry about racing 5 yards downfield to make the tackle, Pendleton and Clawson did their job. I expect with those two blitzing as much as they did, that Jan will get freed up a lot more this year and finish with double digit sacks.

Max threw through some very tight windows, the one on 4th down in particular. He was threading the needle big time.

Also I just saw that BYU is 8-1 vs the Big 12 since 1977.

I recorded the game, but it went long. I forgot to set it for an hour extra. So BYU scores the go ahead touchdown...and then the recording stops.

I am hoping to catch a full rebroadcast sometime this week.

Yes. I saw that online when I got back to my hotel room. I kept watching it over and over. Amazing. He juked 6-7 potential defenders.

yowza! I love the flip into the endzone, although I think he got busted for that afterward.

That is an insane stable of backs. Everyone scored...bradford, mcknight, stafon, and I think CJ, as well.

Next week is going to be good.

I am glad to hear some positive review of Jan. I was thinking about that today during open mic meeting that I didn't think I heard Jan's name called once.

The McKnight run was silly good, I loved #58 down field just watching the guy chase up and not even make a block. We are gonna water down the field so bad on Halloween, people will be slipping all over the place!

Jan's stop for a loss on 1st and goal after the deflating and bullshit PI call was the exact epitome of an asskicking defensive leader. Enormous individual play. It would have been a nipple hardener if not for the fact that Andrew Rich had mammory flaccidity on full throttle!

I don't think that is accurate. I made that statement last night in chat but was quickly reminded. BYU lost to Baylor in 1983. I remember that game clearly. What A&M did to them in the 91 Holiday Bowl is illegal in 49 states. Kansas also beat BYU in the Aloha Bowl in 92. Those two games I had repressed from my memory.

With BYU games I always go the maximum 3 hours DTV will allow, the TCU game of 05 still haunts me.

Oregon games I feel safe with the 1 1/2 hour option.

Just looked it up on Cougarstats. 8-1 in regular season and 3-2 in bowl games. Beating Missouri, Colorado and Oklahoma while losing to A&M and Kansas. The one regular season loss was to Baylor in 83. That led to the 25 game winning streak.
