DirecTV going to lose Vs. on Sept 1

I really really really am growing to hate Comcast. I can only get the Mtn if I have DTV, but now I can't get Vs. I consider Comcast to be sports terrorists, if we are still doing the war on terror stuff lets invade their corporate headquarters.

I wonder if this is posturing. I really can't imagine DTV, who builds their reputation on sports offerings, giving up Vs.

I agree with this, Almost every negotiation I have followed with a channel and a content provider go like this.

So looks like no BYU/FSU watching for me this year! I want to blame DirecTV, but I think the blame for this has to go to Comcast and the still horrible MWC tv deal.

Remember when the MWC was going to be the feature conference of CSTV! Does any MWC team ever even play on what is now CBSCTV? At least the school presidents decided to extend Thompson's contract.

Why drop Vs?

Cox cable offers Vs., VsHD, and recently picked up the Mtn and CBS Sports whatever it is called. So coupled with regular ESPN, I can now basically watch every BYU football game of the season. Fantastic!

It will be nice to not have to tune into that jared tv website for muddled streaming video of the game.

Coincidentally, I now have the ability to watch all these games on TV and I will only actually be home to watch 5 of them. Nice problem to have, I suppose.

Luckily for me Comcast Oregon does not have the Mtn. and as of their last email exchange have no plans to add it.
