  • Sparedon out for year?

Just heard on 1280am that Sparedon is out for the year with a torn rotator cuff?

That is Reynolds, and now Sparedon both starters on the left side of the line. I think, both have redshirt freshmen backing them up?

Egads, if this is true, If I were Bronco, I'd do several things against OK.

    1) I would start our 3rd string QB and RB, and keep Max Hall and Unga out for at least the first half, and perhaps the entire game if the left side can't protect the blind side!

    2) In the first half, run almost exclusively to the left side, to get our lineman firing off the line and initiating the contact instead of pass protection where they would raise up only to see the defensive end going by their left shoulder untouched to the QB.

    3) Run a 2 tight end formation on almost every play.

Hopefully, this is only dis-information from Bronco and that Reynolds and Sparedon are actually in peak condition, thus throwing the Sooners off practicing hard for BYU and looking to their next game. bwahahahaha.... crap.

Reynolds will be back in time for the Oklahoma game, so put away the razor blades and miscellaneous cutlery.

Will you allow me at least a butter knife? I can go through the motions and at least make my skin really really red and raw....it could quite possible lead to infection if I refuse to treat it.

BG....you need to change that signature line, there is a mocking tone to your Batgirl smile to that statement (even though BM's statement is pretty accurate!). Otherwise, you will force me to do some research on Barry Switzer quotes!

Also...what are the odds that Switzer will be a color commentator on this game. If he is...I'm going to have to turn the volume down on the TV set and listen to the KSL radio broadcast while I watch the game.

Nah...he's not contracted with ESPN. They might call him at halftime, though.

Besides, if you come to the game in person you won't have to worry about who's commentating!

speaking of Sparedon, I love this piece I saw yesterday:

BYU seeking to end string of recent injuries. Wow. I love beat writers. Like, um, what team seeks to extend a string of injuries?

That's worth the price of a ticket itself...to see the Batgirl unmasked!

But..... Max Hall is a senior. Does he really need an offensive line?
