    It will be a very interesting off season for closers.

    I'm going to make a guess that near the end of the season, the Angels will be kicking themselves for not resigning him. Overall, it may be for the best for both the Angels and the Mets, but the Mets are getting the better part of it.

    The saddest news is that my Os will still suck. Of course, on the bright side, there's no reason to spend a lot of money on a closer when a closer really isn't necessary.

      I disagree the Angels got the good end of this deal. They get the Mets first round draft pick and a compensatory pick. They have players ready to go to move into K-Rod's spot as closer. He is overpriced as are most free agent closers.

        Perhaps, but I am one to always value a proven closer and I believe K-Rod has proven to be one.
