  • Urban's new contract

do any of my fellow Utah brethren still believe Urban made a poor decision to leave?

do any still harbor ill feelings given the success of Whit?

is there anyone remaining that doesn't believe he's the best HC in the country?

    here it is:

Things worked out well for both Urban and Kyle...and they both own Nick Saban so they got that going for them...which is good.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I am happy that Whit is the coach of the Utes. It never would have happened had Meyer stayed even one more year.

Meyer made the right decision for himself. My problem has not been that he left Utah for Florida, but how it happened. Looking square into the eyes of players, administrators and boosters and lying about staying at Utah just isn't the right way to go about it. Of course, he did exactly the same thing to Bowling Green, so this just tells me that while he may be the best coach in college football, he lacks integrity, which in the end, is all a person really has.

Which is proof that everything has it's price.

I hate Urban. Had he just stayed one more year, BYU would have a good defense.

He is one of the best 5 coaches in the country, but I would not crown him yet. If you want to crown him, go ahead and crown him.

How so? Would Kyle have kept Bronco on as a D coordinator or brought Gary Anderson under your scenario? If offered, would Bronco have accepted?

My guess would be an entirely different recruiting philosophy, though it would be severely handicapped by the Honor Code.
