You know, TCU lost two games and still cleared the #12 benchmark that would have normally guaranteed them an automatic BCS bid. An early loss to a highly ranked team would make it more difficult for BYU to make the BCS, but not impossible.

I think the BCS should consider things like law school rankings, research grants, and liberal arts offerings because, after all, the football players are STUDENT-athletes.
