Notice he doesn't say it'll be Oklahoma. He says it's a "really big" non-conference game.

I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying I'd be surprised. A lot.

You won't hear a peep of complaint from me next year (if that schedule holds up) even if we go 0-3 in those games. That non-conference schedule is exactly what I would like to see every year.

Hey! If I want your opinion I'll ask for it!!

No, I'm kidding. I haven't posted on the sports boards in months (on account of being too busy with the real world), but I knew they'd be hating it up today with the Sooners being so very undeserving of the title game berth, and I appointed myself to go set them all straight. It's a public service, really.

It's amazing how creative some of these people are with their insults.

You know, TCU lost two games and still cleared the #12 benchmark that would have normally guaranteed them an automatic BCS bid. An early loss to a highly ranked team would make it more difficult for BYU to make the BCS, but not impossible.

Well, as much as Flash would love the freedom such a separation might afford, I think three years away would be a bit extreme.

Besides, he's been trying to get the L out of Oklahoma for ten years now. He's thrilled at the prospect of going somewhere. Anywhere.

He's especially hoping to land somewhere where the collective local psychological welfare does not rest on how a bunch of college kids perform on the gridiron every Saturday.

Unfortunately, the BCS computers are not considering UW's stellar academics when determining USC's strength of schedule.

I think the BCS should consider things like law school rankings, research grants, and liberal arts offerings because, after all, the football players are STUDENT-athletes.

Unfortunately, the BCS computers are not considering UW's stellar academics when determining USC's strength of schedule.

I think the BCS should consider things like law school rankings, research grants, and liberal arts offerings because, after all, the football players are STUDENT-athletes.

I got this great post on SI from a guy who says the BCS should consider the historical accolades of the program when computing SOS. So you'd get extra credit for playing UW because they won the title in 92 (or whenever). I thought that was an, um, creative proposal.

OTOH, just imagine how people would be scrambling all over each other to schedule Notre Dame.

Hmm....now who's laughing at BYU's attempt to schedule Army?

Pipe down, haters!

And the graduation rates of the BCS schools prove it.

Exactly. I can't wait to schedule Harvard and Yale.
