Here is a short story on a generous donation by the Gross family.

Kudos to Jordan and the other Utes(Alex/Steve Smith, Andre Miller) who remember where they got started.

To me he is the poster boy for Utah football. Miller for hoops. What a classy, generous thing to do.

My ignorance here, but what BYU pros have made similar gifts?

It's always a competition with you guys, isn't it? I'd be more impressed if the donation had been private (though technically I wouldn't be impressed at all, because I wouldn't know about it).

No I assume that BYU players have done the same, just curious to know who.

FTR, I was being 100% facetious about the competition comment.

This is the philosophy of former BYU players:

"When I retire, I don't want to just move to some island somewhere. I want to be the guy who gives it all back. I want it to be like, 'Hey... who donated that hospital wing that's saving so many lives?' 'I don't know. It was anonymous.' 'Well, guess what. It was Michael Scott.' 'But how do you know? It was anonymous.' [pause] 'Because I'm him.'"

After giving 10%, they can't afford to give any more.

I especially like that they're donating scholarships. Kudos to these guys.

I hear Austin Collie even pays on his gross income.
