My head shrunk!

I have rocked the same haircut since my mission so I know it isn't the hair. While in Utah last week I picked up a new BYU hat and SL Bees hat. The last hat I bought was my Dodgers cap and it's a 7 5/8. So naturally I reach for a 7 5/8's hat to try on at Fanzz and it looks like I am gangster rapper. So I try on the 7 1/2 and it is still too big. I thought maybe it was just the cap so I tried on other 7 5/8's and 7 1/2 hats. Then I tried different teams thinking maybe the sizing was peculiar to just that particular hat. Nope. And all three hats are New Era 5950.

I ended up going with the 7 3/8's for both caps. Gidget still thinks they're too big but the 7 1/4 was too small for my tastes and I am 30 years away from just setting my hat on the crest of my dome like a grandpa. My head has shrunk 1/2." I've lost 40 lbs. Did I have a 1/2" of fat on my dome?
